One of the Reasons I Like Geocaching

December 9, 2005

I needed some exercise, so on the way home from work yesterday, I did Dunhnh, duhn duhn-duhn… –a quick walk of about 1.5 miles roundtrip in the hills above Glendale. This is what I got to watch on my way to the cache.

To the Pain

December 3, 2005

This cache has been on my list for quite some time. It’s only a couple of miles from the house. I just wanted to do it on a clear day because the views are supposed to be so good. Today was clear and breezy, so I figured I would give it a try. The ridgeline was very windy–at least 40 or 50 miles an hour, I guess. It was hard to walk without getting blown around.

The views were nice, but not as good as I had hoped. Here is the 360 degree photo that I took. The first photo starts on the left at the northeast.

Here is a self-photo, it gives you an idea of how hard the wind was blowing. Note: I normally don’t wear the brim of my hat up–the wind did it.
